Immerse the Wilder Side of Pandora for Treasure Vaults

As of yesterday, Borderlands 2 is officially released! The long awaited sequel has finally arrived to all gaming platforms. I picked up my pre-ordered copy yesterday at Gamestop. But I haven’t had a chance to journey back to Pandora just yet. I will later today though. I was wrapping up my instance farming in Twilight Arbor for the Nightmare Staff in Guild Wars 2. Might I say, the animation is pretty sweet indeed. One my Necromancer certainly approves of!

Anyways, the thought of juggling Borderlands 2 and Guild Wars 2 at the same time seems overwhelming. But I can time manage both. If you haven’t played the first Borderlands, I highly recommend doing so first before diving into the sequel. The UI has changed drastically compared to the first. It has been updated and improved for the better. Same goes for the talent trees as you now can earn Badass points which yield custom stats such as faster reload times or extra crit damage. Gearbox has done an outstanding job improving the few downfalls of Borderlands. Basically, the main point was that they shifted all focus on offering BAJILLION unique guns to give us a vast, ever-changing environment and mob diversification so that we can enjoy Borderland 2’s gameplay in all its glory. Treasure hunters will not be disappointed in this sequel. If you’re not convinced, check out this awesome video review from Gametrailers to persuade you into buying this game now!

Your Suggestions Matter – Decide on What Contents Go in the Borderlands 2 CE Box

WOO! Just when we thought we couldn’t get enough news regarding Borderlands 2, Gearbox is allowing us to decide what contents will be featured in the Collector’s Edition. Voice your suggestions on the Borderlands 2 forum. If you’re feeling quite generous, you can also help out the Gearbox team by participating in a short survey to give your 2 cents of what you thought was most important from the game and why. It is apparent that Gearbox sees a lot of value in receiving user feedback. I wonder what creative ideas you guys can come up with!

Borderlands 2 – 14min Gameplay Video Surfaces

Screenshots of Borderlands 2┬ájust not cutting it out for everyone? Anxious to see some ingame footage of this awesome title? Well I got news for everyone! A 14 minute gameplay video has surfaced on the internet. Unfortunately, it’s just a cam so it will be average quality and the person playing is certainly lacking in skills. But it is something to bear with for now since there are no other videos out there for Borderlands 2 just yet. Oh yeah – you guys ready to take a look at all the great changes/fixes this sequel has to offer? I can’t wait until 2012!

More Borderlands 2 Updates

@Gamescom 2011, we were able to share to the world some screenshots of Borderlands 2 demo! 5 years later Pandora transformed into a winter wonderland loaded with new robotic enemies and more. In addition to the screenshots, there is now a teaser trailer released that features the new berserker. If you ask me, that trailer was certainly not convincing. Needs moar ninja claptraps and guns! Plus, it would be nice if we could get another character class revealed. I’m interested in seeing the ‘new’ siren! Guess we’ll have to wait a few weeks/months until then.

A few screenshots of Borderlands 2 @Gamescom 2011, Germany:

Frosty battlefield!

New creatures and interesting landscape.

Why if it isn’t one of the infamous gun vendors?

Borderlands 2 Getting Rid of Previous Heroes

Major changes are happening in Borderlands 2. Gearbox is forcing us to depart with our original heroes of the first for good. They are turning them into boring NPCs in the next sequel. Borderlands 2 will feature 4 new playable characters. So far only one has been leaked. Of course, it’s the berserker class that gets revealed first. In addition to the new playable heroes, Gearbox has trashed the ┬árandomly generated guns feature. This means there will no longer be weapons ranging in the millions! On the bright side, these new gun vendors are supplying us with custom decals and enhancements. Gearbox is also promising to deliver smarter enemy AI and more distinctive environments. Are you ready to take on more Claptraps?

Borderlands 2 INCOMING 2K12

There ain’t no rest for the wicked. 2K is prepared to announce that Borderlands 2 is arriving in 2012. Rumor has it that the sequel will be announced @Gamescon. I have been waiting for this for quite some time already. It’s been uber boring since I completed the last DLC, ‘Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution‘. I wonder what new mechanics and features Gearbox has in store for all of us. I hope whatever new changes they make will yield us more phat loot! Are you guys excited? I sure as hell am! Seems like 2012 is going to be another great year for new game releases. But for the moment, let’s enjoy all the great titles that will soon become live in fall 2011!
