Forces of Nature DLC Due March 27th

WOO!!! Finally another DLC releases for my #1 favorite game of all time – Gears of War 3. Forces of Nature will include new content in terms of multiplayer maps, including the return of the best map in Gears of War 2. That’s right baby, Jacinto map will be back and better than ever in this next DLC installment. Other maps include Aftermath, Artillery, Cove, and Raven Down. Β More pre-order skins will be part of the package deal as well. Anyone with the Season Pass or chooses to pay 800 Microsoft Points ($10)Β will gain 5 new weapon skins with 2 that are only available through this DLC. There’s going to be a few brand new achievements to unlock along with new Easter Eggs to discover. The Easter Eggs will be Elemental Cleavers hidden away in 4 of the maps. You will need to find all 4 if you hope to unlock one of the achievements. The Gears just keep turning! What are you guys waiting for? March 27th is go time baby!

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Gearsmas

Did everyone have a wonderful Christmas? My Christmas for 2011 was filled with lots of Gears of War SWAG. For example, my tree was topped with the COG flag that was part of the Epic Edition for Gears of War 3. Aside from that, I would like to personally thank Mad Catz for the wonderful and AMAZING Tritton GOW3 Edition headset. It is truly a sexy beast that enhances gameplay with the 7.1 surround sound and excellent sound quality that ensures no sneaky bastard can cheap shot me from the back πŸ™‚ I can easily recommend this headset as worthy of purchasing and owning πŸ™‚ The pulsing omen glow effect is a killer feature for both the headset and Vault 360 case.

I would like to share with you guys my awesome Xbox 360 set-up and some of the awesome gifts I received this Holiday season. With that, I want to also say that I earned my wings last weekend and I will be hitting level cap in Skyrim this weekend. I’m currently lvl 48 so lvl 50 will be a piece of cake πŸ˜‰

Enjoy guys and Happy New Year to all!

Xbox 360 Set-Up Fit for the Ultimate COG Veteran (also was a gift – Vault + Headset):

A ‘Gearsmass’ gift from wonderful friends (can you tell that the scarf is Mass Effect Themed?):

Back-to-Back DLC Releases Today

Today was actually quite an exciting day for both Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3 fans! Why you may ask? Simply because the long awaited DLC’s have finally been released πŸ™‚ That’s right – RAAM’s Shadow and Back to Karkand are available to download and play. What exactly are you guys waiting for if you haven’t downloaded either DLC? I’m already waiting for my downloads to finish πŸ˜› Check out these featured videos on two amazing DLCs you won’t want to pass up.

Revisiting Emergence Day

We’re getting closer to the release date of the next Gears of War 3 DLC. RAAM’s Shadow will easily add 3 hours of gameplay to the action-packed campaign for you and your +1’s. We can now finally revisit the events of Emergence Day in this latest DLC. In addition to more gameplay hours, we will be able to revisit characters from the past. I know one thing is certain – I really missed being able to play as Lt. Kim and Tai. They were both my favorite characters to play in multi-player. I’m so glad they are back in the final series (even if it’s a short appearance) πŸ˜‰ Aside from reuniting with old friends, there will be 2 added COG members to play as: Alicia Valera and Michael Barrick (from the Gears comic). Did I also mention you can also play both sides? You can now see the POV of both sides – good and evil as you transition within the story between the COG and Locust opposing factions.Who’s ready to find out what exactly unraveled during E-day?

RAAM’s Shadow comes out on 12/13/11 priced at $15.00 (1200 Microsoft points).

Another Satisfying Game For iOS

Now is the time for you to once again raise your blade for the battle of your life. Infinity Blade II is finally out with a new story and adventure. This gives you more reason to continue your conquest for hacking and slashing foes that get in your way. After defeating the Sun God, you automatically became the world’s most wanted champion. Oh yes – that means everyone is coming for you at full force. Will you manage to survive until Infinity Blade III (assuming the third is a possibility)? We’ll see about that.

If you’re a fan of the first Infinity Blade, I can assure you that the sequel will not disappoint you. Who wouldn’t enjoy this game on their iOS device? It’s the perfect game for your iPad/iPhone/iTouch πŸ™‚ I mean it is still the best looking mobile game.

Check out this opening cinematic video of Infinity Blade II. It’s such a tease! Did anyone notice that your new companion looks a lot like Tali from Mass Effect? I am definitely going to purchase this game once it gets put on sale on the App Store.

Watch the Trailer of the Horde Command Pack DLC

Today is the official release date for the Horde Command Pack DLC. Check out the trailer showing off all the new items/skins/maps/characters you can unlock when you get this add-on. I am now downloading it and will be playing this right away! I still need to finish my BF3 campaign >_< I’m almost done with that too. Are you guys excited to try out this DLC? The only downside is that Epic will be offering the new horde map packs as a special Thanksgiving treat for everyone and anyone who owns a copy of Gears of War 3. I guess this is Epic’s way of giving a little added value to their fans (with slightly upsetting those who paid for a Season Pass – really it’s not a big deal).

This free DLC is a ‘Versus Booster Map Pack’ Β and will be available for download on Thanksgiving and will allow players to get 5 new maps that were part of the Horde Command Pack to play in versus mode. Other than that, there’s nothing else special about it besides the fact that it’s free.

Gears of War 3’s Next DLC Announced

Epic Games 1Ups my anticipation with news of the following DLC after the Horde command pack. We now get a chance to experience events of Sera post-Emergence Day from the perspective of RAAM from the Locust faction.

This will be one of the largest DLC’s Epic Games has ever released which offers additional gameplay of more than 3 hours + to the campaign. In addition, we will revisit familiar faces that we encoutnered during the fight for humanity in the previous installments of Gears of War 1 and 2. These familiar faces consist of Lt. Minh Kim and Tai Kaliso. Both of these characters were actually my favorites of all time! I used to play both skins in Gears of War 2. I mean afterall, Lt. Minh Kim is representing my people πŸ˜‰ Besides reintroducing us to familiar faces, there will also be a new character featured which is another female named Alicia Valera.

RAAM’s Shadow DLC will be available on December 13 priced at $15.00 (1200 Microsoft points). This DLC pack will add 6 new multiplayer characters, Chocolate weapon skin set, and additional 250 Gamerscore.

For those of you who ordered the Season Pass (such as myself), you won’t have to worry about the price. All you have to do is add it to your queue and download it on 12/13/11.
